People who fan themselves during services are annoying

It’s not like fanning your face with a flyer for an entire hour during a service is actually cooling you off
We get that you want everybody in the service to know that you are miserable and hot but fanning yourself is not going to cool you off with the warm air that you are fanning yourself with

Why in the frick are you on your phone if you're at church? That's way more annoying.

It’s always a grumpy woman who looks like pillsbury dough busting out the can

I've seen more people pass out in church than anywhere. Fanning is probably more helpful than you think.

Y’all should save up and get some A/C at your church.

I think people who fan themselves with programs are dramatic but this isn’t really true.

I assume the folks with hot church takes on Easter haven't been since Christmas.

I see church had little effect on you with language like that

The Lord has risen and this is what’s on your mind?
Maybe do another service today.

No doubt you're living the message of the day

You might be the dumbest somebitch on here today.
Fanning your face, for millions of people, can absolutely trigger a "whole body cooling down" response where they will stop sweating and feel cooler all over.
Skinny people, kids, anyone can possess this ability. I don't know if it's related to homeostasis or what but it's absolutely a real thing.

I can't sleep without air moving over me. Went to visit the in-laws this weekend and went and bought a fan just for that reason.

This and the shirt thread are great indicators of people at church for the right reasons

That’s the thing - it wasn’t hot at all in there. The AC was kicking just fine
It was a fat overweight woman that sat for the entire hour over dramatically fanning her face in front of me.
It’s rude. Nobody else on service was fanning their face.. only this fat over dramatic liberal who was forced by her family to attend church on Easter Sunday

Who runs to the board on the holiest day of the year to complain about something so innocuous?
