i can deal deal with "prayers sent" but i can't deal with "asking for good good vibes" or "sending good vibes your way."
What does that actually mean? "whoa... feels like someone just me me some more good vibes."

Congrats! You found a way to use the new hot term, “virtue signaling”. To answer your question, no it does not bother me at all. Just like it doesn’t bother me when people say ‘sending good vibes’ even though I don’t believe in vibes. You’re obviously atheist or agnostic and it makes you feel superior to let others know that about you. I’m glad I’m not arrogant or pathetic like you.

if you haven't watched it, watch Anthony's Jeselnik bit on it: Thoughts and Prayers (Youtube)

Simply a form of attention whoring. "Look at me and how kind I am because I am praying for someone/something."
I'm no Bible expert so I had to look it up but I remembered hearing about this years ago:
“And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.
But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you."

After the flood of 2016 I had a family member that kept posting articles about people helping those affected and saying it was because of the power of the rosary and prayer and that she had been praying every day. She didn't do anything to actually help. I posted a few links to charity orgs that were helping and needed donations and said if you can take a break from praying to actually help here are some links. I got disowned.
EDIT: she is financially well off, doesn't work, doesn't have kids, and is physically fit. she could have been helping.

I’m actually not atheist. Just not an idiot sheep in the flock either. Communities would be better served if people actually went out to help instead of typing “prayers sent” and then saying “welp, I’ve done my dead. Sent prayers”
You’re taking the easy road, getting your good citizen credit (although you might be a piece of shite) and not helping that family in any way whatsoever.

Thoughts are more effective than prayers.
They are the exact same thing or are you under the impression that if I pray for someone that I'm not thinking about them?

I am rallying all of my prayer warriors for you.

I'm sending prayers your way, so that later in life you aren't such an insufferable prick.

I send positive energy to help people who are in need.
I focus really hard, I envision those in need of said energy, and I send it to them. With my mind. Through space and time.

Yes it does.
My favorite is when someone posts in between the Limu ads "Don't ask, just pray!". Like no. I need to know what's going on. What if you're doing something bad? I don't want that blood on my hands.

If you’re a practicing Christian, you believe prayer is a lot more than sending best wishes.

Stop virtue signaling.

Do you really hate Christians so much to where this bothers you? Who gives a shite. It's their way of showing compassion.
