I am so tired of all the GD bullshite sold by woke environmental idiots (not all environmentalist btw)

9O something percent of all marine plastic, including the giant trash island is related to commercial fishing.

There is a Widely disseminated photograph of a sea turtle with a plastic straw in his nose but I’m not even sure if that was related to his cause of death. Most likely he was killed in a fish troll where probably 98% of turtles that are killed by human activities go to die. But we but we’re not banning or regulating that at all, Instead we’re banning all plastic straws which may be responsible for half a dozen turtle deaths max, meanwhile every shrimp boat in the gulf has a custom made board that fits right over the TED to make it inoperable.

This is 1000 times worse than stupid recycling programs which 90% of those are complete scam. Enough already.

This is my old man rant of the day.

My condo spent 30k a few years ago replacing lights so it could be more turtle friendly. Yet people cover the beach every night with cell phones walking around. It's a frickin racket.

You suck if you don't like turtles or straws.

I've had a few of these over the years, but they were only a couple of inches long.

That's actually a common sense change. The problem is common sense changes come under fire because everyone gets triggered by stupid stuff like straws killing turtles. SO the default is to be pissed about everything environmental rather than looking at reasonable, intelligent accomodation

That's not a popular ideal here. Reverse whip triggers is making Chicken rich.

It all started with a pic of a turtle with a straw stuck in his nose... What they didnt tell you was that turtle was also doing cocaine right before that pic was taken..

Oakland banned plastic straws but allows bums to pile garbage 20 ft high in the streets

Yeah cover the building with LED's and make it look like a titty bar. I guess the turtles can't see the Incandescents in the rooms from the beach. Common sense my arse. It's a racket.
