WTF Entergy? Power just went out 15 mins ago, outage map shows pretty much all of Old Metairie out of power East of roughly Homestead Ave., affecting 5,263 households.
Also north of I-10 all of Lake Ave. is out through Bucktown.
Anyone know what's going on? It's barely drizzling over here.

It’s fricking bullshite. It went out a few weekend ago for scheduled maintenance that they don’t even bother to tell us about. No idea why it’s out now.

Restoration time is 12:30.. Might be... might not be..
I've been in my house for 14 years and besides a hurricane I lost power one time.. And that was a few weeks ago because some guy hit a power pole right down the street.. They said the power would be back in a couple of hours and it took almost 7 hours.. Good luck..

We would go months without an outage and recently it’s been every time it rains. I bought a 20kw Cummins standby. Tired of the uncertainty.

Probably an issue in the substation of that many are out. Takes a few hours to respond and do all of the checks/test if there is no obvious cause. If there is it would depend on the damage.

You know the rules, if it ain't Metairie Club Gardens, it ain't Old Metairie. Anything else is Ole Metry.

Entergy just pissed there hasn't been any hurricanes this "season" for them to get another subsidy of customer money each billing cycle.

Ugh. Now says "Cause: a lightning strike to Entergy equipment" with ETA of 2AM.
Got the generator started up for the fridge/freezer at least.

Entergy just went out twice here off Highland in Baton Rouge. FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON.
Entergy really has issues.

I watch the weather for a living. There was no lightening strike anywhere in the area tonight. Those fat greedy fricks at entergy are full of shite.

Old Metairie is 3rd world country. Move into New Orleans.
