I’m sure most of y’all are aware of this commercial. Any examples ring true ?

Personally, I like books about submarines.

But the other day I found myself washing and rinsing a gallon ziplock bag for re-use. And on cue that commercial was airing. I laughed to myself.

It wasn’t about the money, but there was nothing wrong with that bag and it had the fancy zip-tie lock. And yeah, I still had 8 more fresh ones in the box.

Do you hang paper towels out to dry for reuse too?

Probably not. Those get ruined by use. If all you have in a ziplock bag is some chips or something there’s no reason not to use it again

My grandma washed her ziplocks for years. I do it sometimes too. Seems like such a waste to throw them away

I hate Progressive as a company but it's probably the best commercial series on TV

We all see it ....blue.

My wife always gets mad at me because I cannot for the life of me help but stare at people inside places like Lowe's. They nailed this one for me

I'm slowly transforming into my dad and it's just making me feel like a POS for how much of a shite son i was for a long time.

I absolutely individually package meatballs when I make a big batch so I can just throw however many I need into a pot.

They have one with a group getting ready to fly. The group leader asks to see their tickets and they all hold up paper tickets. That hit home pretty hard.

I’m starting to wonder if they are either running out of examples or if I’m the one turning into my parents.

Bc the parking commercial just makes sense. I’m not going full on Clark Griswold. Buuut when I park at a game, I definitely back in and assess the easiest path to exit.

I honestly thought about Velcro in my remote to the table. I swear it’s like a law of the universe that my kids can never place it back where it belongs

Half of Tiger stadium has become their parents. They leave during the 3rd quarter.

I'm a Nazi about the TV remote because my children like to carry it off and forget where it is all the time. But I haven't resorted to velcro to the coffee table yet...yet.

Friend of mine took a selfie with his kid at the movie theater and he kept his ticket in his shirt pocket - I told him Progressive is going to rip into him for that.

Lo and behold...

There’s a bunch of them that absolutely nailed me. Some are “old guy” things and others are just “my generation” things.

For example, I do tend to talk to strangers and to store clerks, etc. But it’s not something my parents did, it’s just something that my generation (Gen X) does because we lived in a more social time period.
