Prominent businessman murdered in downtown Chattanooga,killer has extensive record

Police said Christopher Wright, 38, died at the scene. Wright was a 2003 graduate of Baylor School and had been involved in planning his 20-year class reunion this weekend. Friends said the victim was downtown for a Baylor School reunion.
Wright was a graduate of Yale University and the University of Chicago and most recently was the co-partner and founder of local capital venture firm, Alderman Enterprises.

Roberts " Too Tall" has an extensive criminal record for assault, disorderly conduct, theft, traffic offenses and gun charges.
Witnesses said the shooter was a man known as "Too Tall." He was identified as Darryl Roberts and was picked from a photo lineup as the shooter.

The most telling thing for folks around here---It was a major story in Chattanooga--It might have made the six o'clock news after the weather in New Orleans.

There was a certain segment of our society hitting the laugh reaction on Facebook when the story was posted. They thought is was hilarious that a prominent White man was murdered. Some even suggested it was payback for slavery.
This shite is getting real old, real quick. There has to be a backlash soon.

The other thread was whacked, so I will say here what I said there:
Home invasion gets:
-This guy - less than six months in jail.
-George Floyd - around five years.
-An old friend of mine - seventy-five years in prison.
My old friend doesn't have the same privilege as these two.
I'm not saying my friend should have gotten less time. The others should have certainly gotten more time. If Floyd had gotten the same sentence he would be safe, sound, and alive in prison today. If this piece of garbage had gotten the same sentence this man would still be alive and his kids would still have a dad.
Our justice system is broken.
The only priors my friend had was a public intoxication charge. No one was killed or seriously injured in what he did. Seventy-five years versus six months and somewhere around five years.

Definitely more to your friend's story and crime...way more. That's a lot of years so there's some add-on's in there. Obviously, he had a weapon. Also, the home was occupied and he did hurt someone. Your old friend is an idiot. What's your old friend's name and what city was he arrested in? It's public info so please share.

The police chief is a Black woman, Celeste Murphy, who failed miserably as chief in Atlanta. Her second in command is Glenn Scruggs, a bitter black racist and screaming liberal.
The police will not even answer minor traffic accident or theft calls.
The county mayor and the. DA are Republicans. The son (mayor) and daughter (DA) of former congressman Zach Wamp.
