Had a garbage truck hit my wifes car 2 weeks ago, drove off like nothing happened. Fortunately my neighbor had security photos showing the car perfectly fine, then the front smashed in right after the truck pulled away. Got a police report, sent the report and pics to the company. Their insurance company called me today and are sending a check for the estimate. I’m still a little pissed the company didn’t even bother to apologize.
I’m guessing hit and run is standard protocol in that industry as I’m fairly sure a garbage truck knocked a side view mirror off my truck a cpl yrs ago, but I had no proof.

That’s America’s work ethic and common sense.

They placed a large boulder in the spot. A UPS truck ran over the boulder, somehow lost control of the truck and ran across the yard with the boulder underneath, cutting a massive trench as it went.
That would've been awesome to see live.

It was a UPS driver for me. He somehow managed to get off my driveway and hang my AT&T internet/phone line (that was always too damn low) with the corner of his truck, pulling it down and breaking it. I just called AT&T, told them what happened, and gave them the info the driver gave me. They came out (after three damn days) and fixed it. They charged UPS directly.
There are regulations governing the minimum height for utility wires over streets and driveways. AT&T may not have been reimbursed by UPS if their line was below the legal height.

my wife was an Insurance claims adjuster, and anytime Amazon or FedEx was involved, it was not either company - but a 3rd party company that takes all responsibility for it.
it is a shitty way to do it, BUT for smaller companies to get into the money that is Amazon and FedEx, it is what they have to do
The contractors are required to sign hold harmless agreements with Amazon and UPS and provide certificates of insurance in order to deliver under their names. Why should it matter to you and anyone making a claim if your damages are paid?

Yeah I had a FedEx driver back into a brick lamp post in my yard a couple yrs ago. They paid for it but was a little bit of aggravation crossing all the T's and dotting all the I's

A FedEx driver backed into my brother's truck and drove off. His camera didn't catch it but had the audio right after the truck went out of view and the neighbor's camera caught it all.
It took some time but they finally got through to the right person to talk to about it after a bunch of phone calls and e-mails. They got FedEx to pay for the damage to his truck.

I caught a contract FE driver in my garage unlocking the back door while he was dropping off. Said he was leaving package on hood of car instead of front door. This was when ppl were coming thru our n'hood at 3am looking for unlocked vehicles.

So, like I said, I have a huge area in my drive for a turn around. My boat is currently on the edge of the concrete pad, but there's still room for my wife to pull in to the garage...That's attached to my mobile home... There was no reason for the idiot driver to turn around in my yard. The damaged area is on the left side of this picture, South of the fire pit.

Please explain what you were required to do to be paid for your loss.

The car that made those tracks definitely has positraction. You can't make those without positraction.

Your so called property damage will fix itself. This time of year it is slow, but a couple of months into spring and it will be gone.
This shite happens in my yard at least once a year and I actually have a concrete driveway. Its not a big deal.
Drink a beer and forget about it.
It would be nice if they had left a note and or came back later to apologize. Would you let it go if they did that, or would you still go after their insurance to fix dirt?
