Do you rememeber when they were on Loyala between Louisiana and Napoleon?

I do. It then became a NORD property called the Stern Tennis Center.

The two longstanding knocks on the NOLTC (present location) are the lack of a main dining room like they have at the NOCC and SYC, and also the pool area lacks sufficient shade and is hot as blazes in the summer. I do not know if those issue still exist; I know there have been some semi recent renovations.

Also, as an old uptown snob, last time I was there I saw several social wannabes.

Well share the info then.

I'm also interested in the initiation and annual cost for the Southern Yacht Club.

Where you live just join lakeside and call it a day. No reason to pay uppity Nola prices for the same shite

Not worth it for non-tennis players. Nor Tennis players. The facility is not that great for the price. The pool area is fairly crowded at times. I would rather join SYC or even MCC if you are doing for a non-tennis membership. And you CAN be blackballed from joining at NOLTC by a current member.

Nice facilities, but very overpriced. Audubon and City Park are adequate, open to the public, and reasonably priced.

City Park is not reasonably priced anymore. $20 per hour for hard courts is ridiculous. I can go to Jefferson Playground and play for free and the court conditions are only slightly worse.

My sister, no pics, is in the process of joining. She is joining for the tennis & social.

She is a stud tennis player but she really wants to star a pickleball league/courts.
I am not a fan of the game, squash is the best racquet sport.

I’ve belonged there and another local club and I 100% agree that they are good, especially for a reasonable priced place to be involved with tennis. I would never consider paying that crap for the lawn tennis club.

I am half way serious about the Yacht Club though when the kids finish college. I want to learn to sail and will buy a boat

We joined our local YC, but I haven’t caught the sailing bug. My son did summer lessons for years, he’s all but abandoned that though.

I love watching the boats. I could for hours.

A few ladies from NOLA are building a tennis resort/spa thing in Bay St Louis. Crazy concept.

It won’t surprise me if a lot of people don’t start going to Bay St. Louis to get away More and more. Quiet town, cheap and no crime.

Seems like a good idea, but 4 courts isn’t a lot.

Have you ever been on any weekend, lot of Audubon Security & MCG stickers plus LA tags.

We seem to run into our Nola neighbors more frequently in BSL than in Nola.
