I'll be visiting the area next month and I'm curious about the demeaner of the average resort, lodge, or cabin rental managers, and smoking outside on the deck for instance. Would most likely be after dark. I'm not talking about hitting a bong at the picnic table before lunch.

Stayed in a rental there last year and all the contract documents contained specific provisos prohibiting it on the premises.

Go take a walk or sit in your car. The strains here are strong you won't need more than a couple tokes. Unless you are chiefing up in the lobby somewhere or in front of someone's kids no one here really cares.

Eta- why are you going to Estes in Oct? It's mud season then with any snowfall melting and making everything a mess.

I wouldn't do it in hotel or resort rooms, they are likely smoke free anyway and that applies to pot as well. They will get you with big cleaning charges if you do. A cabin or town home rental would depend if it is non smoking or not. A town home I rented a few months back had a no pot smoke clause in the contract. If in doubt ask the manager.

Pot smoking in public is generally looked down on. Finding a quiet place in a park or ally is fine. I would assume on a patio at night would be just fine as well.

Use your best judgement, don't do it while operating a vehicle, and if your nervous about smoking in front others get the oil cartridges that are kinda like e cigs. You could use one of those just about anywhere and they sell them in the store with several strain choices.

you'll be fine if you're outside on a patio/deck/balcony. i was out there for 4 months this summer and unless you're being an idiot, most people dont care....cops included. we would smoke bowls in the park pretty freely.

ETA: if you can get your hands on some Bruce Banner or Biodiesel, you'll be thanking me. enjoy your time out there.

I was there on Thursday. Our waiter at The Rock Inn was completely baked...I believe there were some people outside on the patio with the fire pits partaking in the activity.

Why don't you just ask the managers of the places where you intend to stay?

The place I stayed when I went a couple years back was strict about that kind of stuff. Estes Park is the shite though. Hope you enjoy the beautiful sights.

Any patio, and you're fine. Just don't be a dick, and smoke in front of kids. Have courtesy, and nobody cares. No parks and things like that. But an Alley behind a bar, and nobody will care.

If you're paranoid, you can get a (more or less) disposable e cig with hash oil (just don't get an o.pen, it's not good oil). I used those to smoke (vape, whatever) in bars, without anyone noticing. It's not 100% odorless, but pretty much 98-99%.

If you have an e cig battery, you can get wax hash/shatter attachments that will vaporize the concentrate. Worth buying and throwing out, if you smoke, and have never tried modern concentrates.

Edibles are also a way to go, although I've never been a fan of the effects of edibles. It just knocks me out, and I'm a regular smoker. But they have been incredibly popular, supposedly because of people in your situation.

But find 420 friendly lodging, preferably. If not, get a smoking room. If people smoke cigarettes in there, nobody gives a damn about weed. It'll probably be encouraged, since the weed would make it smell better in there.

Dope smoke doesn't hurt anyone, only tobacco.
