Do you really have to pay them? I read in several places you dont have to and it wont affect your record or credit if you don’t pay it.

Letter i got in the mail says it could be reported to a collection agency or I could get a boot in my car. I says I have to send a check to somewhere in Ohio.

The only drawback is some places won't let you renew tag and registration if it's on your record. Just need to check that out.

Baton rouge ordinance has zero penalties for not paying. No boot, no credit reporting, no problem with car or license registration. Only pay it if you would like to make a donation to the city and the company taking your money.

Has no impact in Baton Rouge. Violation is considered civil and not reportable to DMV or insurance company.

Scare tactic. The traffic camera company is nothing more than a collections agency.

I had probably $1700 in red light and speed camera tickets in BR/NOLA when I moved away. The only way they can “force you” to pay them is with threatening letters and if you’re parked on a monitored street they can boot you and make you pay the entire amount.

I never parked on the street, always in pay lots, and nobody said shite except the bullshite letters in the mail... not even the DMV when I’d renew anything.
