Reed is nuts, but he is one of the only chasers that actually has the knowledge and experience to get that close to a tornado and know how to avoid getting killed.

I know Reed is happy to have the tank back where he can actually try this with stronger tornadoes. For those who don't know, he got all three of the Dominators in the same place over the Winter, and got Dominator 3 operational again. He's not in his beater of a car doing this.

Maybe you could have been one of the 15 or 20 thousand or more people watching live. You may could have been one of the people who combined donated a few thousand dollars to him today. Reed's living the dream as far as storm chasing goes. Hell, if you go strictly by doing what you love being one of the very best at it, he's living the dream....period.

You can find most of the original Storm Chasers series online. It has the OG Dominator and TIV and TIV 2 that Sean Casey had on that show. I think Reed got the concept from Casey and ran with it. I don't even know if Casey is still chasing these days.

I doubt I. Casey was a movie maker. He was just trying to make a tornado movie for imax back then.
I used to love watching Josh Wurman’s disdain for Reed. Josh had all the expensive research equipment, but Reed was twice the chaser that Josh was, and Josh clearly hated him for it.
