Replacing windows at home. Thoughts on Relief Windows/Window World?

I'm considering replacing 14 old single-pane windows in 70808 and wanted to see if anyone has any input on the two companies.
Relief Windows just left and they were approx $1000 more for windows with comparable insulating, reflective, and aesthetic specs. The rep admitted that he couldn't do anything about the higher quote, but it's due to their installation process and that they don't use subcontractor crews. I would've been okay with a couple of hundred more, but $1000 seems a bit much, even for those positives.
Has anyone used Window World recently and have experiences to share? The Window World rep showed us recent projects in 70808 and there were hundreds of names. I gotta think the majority are good jobs.
Thanks in advance.

Used WW recently on a business project and they were great. Used them on my old house and got to see the warranty at work. Grass cutters mower threw a rock into the bay window, and they replaced it at no cost. I recommend them. Just know going in that you will pay more than $189 a window. But for the service, I would and have used them again

I'm not sure I could use Relief just based on that awful advertising they ran on 104.5 with Gordy Rush. I'm sure they're a fine company, but those commercials were just silly.

A friend had WW put in about 6 or 7 years ago. He recwntly noticed that they were fogging or something. He called ww, they came out to servey them, and they ended up replacing 14 widows at no charge.

WW - I called about 5 companies and only ww and Sears came out or returned my call. Went with WW - in fact we recently changed some more and just called ww the first time

Most of the problems you hear about window world are from other markets. The local franchise does great work and is easy to deal with if any problems arise. I have used them on several projects.

I haven't used WW. I have used "Glass Guru " though, and have been very happy. Very responsive for estimates and his installers are young guys you wouldn't be afraid to let in your home. Worth a call for a quote.

My father in law, a classmate and a cousin of mine have all recently used Window World without a single bad thing to say. I'd go with them.
My father in law is a hardass too.

I know I'm a few years late, but the reviews online for each company speaks for itself. However, we're not even comparing apples to apples when you're comparing these two companies. Relief Windows (RW) offers a 7700 series replacement window that has LEEP glass, double insulation properties, and much thicker double strength glass, whereas Window World (WW) does not. WW only uses acrylic caulking, which will crack, chip, and peel off within a year or two exposing your windows to leaks, condensation and energy efficiency issues. RW only uses silicon based caulking, which is meant to last several years without the cracking, chipping, or peeling. Most of the time it will take a month or longer before you'll have your windows installed by WW. The turnaround time is half the time of that and sometimes even sooner. The installers for RW are professionally trained and even paid double to do the job correctly the first time. WW uses sub-contractors who may not be properly trained to install windows, much less be licensed to do so. Several people have complained that WW’s transferable “lifetime” warranty is not active until after having the windows installed for two years, which they will not disclose upfront unless you ask them. RW’s transferable lifetime warranty is guaranteed the day you have the windows installed. Also, RW uses a Measure Tech to come back out after you receive your quote from the Consultant to re-measure the windows for a more accurate measurement to the window opening. WW only does one measurement, and you better pray to God they did it right the first time because if there are any errors in the measurement(s), good luck on re-scheduling them to come back out and fix the issue in a timely manner because they often get back-logged because of how cheap they offer their windows (there’s a reason they’re so cheap).
So, if you want to sacrifice all of the above mentioned aspects of your window installation project along with customer service and satisfaction you deserve with a guaranteed installation by a professionally trained crew (non-sub-contracted), by all means go with the cheaper company. But, in this case, you definitely get what you pay for!
Not to mention, Relief Windows is a very proud supporter of LSU Athletics!
