There’s a twitter page devoted to letting people know when celebs reach the “Brimley Cocoon Line”
Just a couple days ago Matthew McConaughey reached that milestone

The scene towards the end when he gathers all the key 'players' in the conference room and proceeds to flat out take them apart was Oscar worthy.
It's fantastic, one of the best speeches ever given in a movie. I've watched it many time.
First two minutes of Brimley scene.

I don't remember any movie that Wilfred Brimley was in.
The 1982 version of The Thing.

Shows Mitch pictures of him and setup girl on beach
"Not just screwing, Mitch. All sorts of intimate acts, oral and whatnot, that can be particularly hard for a trusting wife to forgive and IMPOSSIBLE to forget."

Was a small part at the end but his role in Absence of Malice was priceless. I am sure it got him a lot more work

There is a bison head on the wall at Superior Grill in Shreveport. Sign underneath says "This buffalo was killed by actor Wilford Brimley."

Brimley was a Mormon.
He was born in Utah in 1934, his grandfather was born in Manchester England in 1857, converted to Mormonism there and moved to Utah. He died when Brimley was eight years-old.
William Brimley
(Think they were related?)

Fine character actor.
He should have got a Best Suppporting nod as he delivered that part.

He was also Howard Hughes bodyguard for years. When the Mormon mafia was handling Hughes business affairs.
