Riverside Towing. How are they still around?

Was with some old college buddies and Riverside Towing got brought up. How has that place not been shut down? They are scumbags and definitely involved in illegal shite. I once had a buddy whose car was stolen and then found at Riverside 2 weeks later, after police had called them the week prior and they claimed it wasn’t there. They charged they for the tow and 2 weeks storage after he went up there himself and found it. All I have heard is how sketchy they are with exact change and shite. Surprised they haven’t towed the wrong lawyers kid.

The Riverside Towing headquarters is practically next door to the casino DT, under the bridge. It wouldn't upset me if it was fire bombed one day.

Towing companies everywhere in the country are legalized theft essentially
There is almost zero recourse for illegal towings
If they tow your car illegally while you are away good luck to you. There is another thousands of dollars in holding fees.

There are some other scumbag tow companies prowling Baton Rouge. No limit towing is especially egregious in their shenanigans. If they make a block downtown or in tigerland and don't see a car to tow they just pull one out of a legal spot. What can you do to stop it? The laws are on their side.

Now they are a complete shite of a company, but they are being hired by businesses throughout the city to do their shady towing practices.

I was a victim. I missed a final exam one morning because they towed my car overnight and I was the last one out the apartment. Had to put up a fight to retake the exam and they charged me for holding for 2 days rather than 1 when I went to pick it up on top of that. I wanted to beat that crackhead bitch lady through the fence senseless. They suck so fricking hard

My personal favorite was when they towed my friends car around 9:00. We went down there, with cash, to get the car around 10:15 and they said "you can't get the car until midnight." At 12:01 we picked it up and he had to pay an "overnight storage fee" which only goes into effect the next calendar day. frick them with a rusty dildo.
