Rooster Comb Gel Injection in Knee this Morning

I had an early appointment with my orthopedic surgeon this morning. This was my fourth such injection over the past two years for my knee problems. The first alleviated the pain somewhat for a couple of months. The next two injections had no effect on my knee pain. A few months ago, the doctor scoped my knee to remove "debris" from a torn meniscus so this morning he recommended another gel treatment for the arthritis still causing pain. So far so good today.
Yes, the gel is really derived from rooster combs.

Years ago I had a few injections just like you described. Helped for a little bit, but didn't get true relief until I got my knee scoped. Haven't had any issues since. I hope you get relief soon.
Edit: My injections were ORTHOVISC, not rooster comb gel.

Who the hell thought of this? Was it a guy out drinking with his baws and says "hey let's make a gel outta rooster combs and inject it in our knees just to see what happens"

I had the injections in both knees and both knees got worse. They wanted to do more injections. I declined.

I have a torn meniscus also. Been hurting like hell for about a year. Tried cortizone injection and nothing.
Just did my first gel shot Monday.
If this doesn't work, will get it scoped.
Dr said since mine is just pain (doesn't pop or lock or anything) that scoping or the gel shots are hit or miss.
Hoping this works.

I get Supartz knee injections and they last about a year. Been doing that for about 6 or 7 years. Maybe longer but I can’t remember.

Piss on the injections; fix the problem.
I've had ACL reconstruction and a partial meniscus tear; operation took care of both.

Can this gel derived from a cockscomb be used to increase girth???

Do you have to resist the urge to climb on your roof and crow at 3:00 a.m.?

Yep, that's why Synvisc is so damn expensive.. But it works. Had both my knees done..

It's not designed for ligament tears, it's for people with arthritis and yes meniscus issues, that surgeries, other than replacements, cant fix.

Dude, try rooster cum. Go straight to the source

Had an injection a few weeks back for Pes anserinus. Pain persisted. I had an MRI and just found out I have a subchondral fracture in the tibial plateau. I am leaning towards subchondroplasty now.

But he stated that if this injection didn't work he'd opt for surgery and I'm saying just fix the problem
