The camera is kind of herky-jerky. But this brings back some memories of a young alajones wandering through that mall unsupervised. I remember when it opened.

I loved that place. My grandparents lived in Delhi and would take me out there to entertain me. They had a small amusement park with bumper cars and such. I also remember a comic book shop that I found some gems that I still have today worth a lot because of the Marvel Universe going silly with movies.

If it was a kiosk, my friend’s owned that. They’d give me good bundle deals. I had a few hundred comics in the 90’s. I still have a bunch in boxes that I have nothing to do with.

The daquari shop beside mcdonalds was the $h!t
It had a big bear that was carved out of a tree with a chain saw.
Ironically that video was shot on my birthday.

It was a store adjacent to the food court. I can’t remember the name of it though, not a kiosk.

I remember that place well. It was right behind Not Just Pies (I remember that place because there were a couple of RIDICULOUSLY hot girls who worked there). They did well enough that they moved over to North 18th eventually. They were my hookup for quite a few years.

Not Just Pie was awesome. So freaking good.

I was always told that it had more children kidnapped there than any other mall. It was because of the I-20 on ramp right by the mall. Any truth to this or just a Monroe urban legend?

I spent a lot of time in this mall growing up in the 80's & during college in the early 90's. It wasn't bad at all then.

They had a baseball card shop in the food court that my 10 year old self thought was possibly the greatest place on Earth.
Edit: Cards, Coins, and Collectibles. It just came to me.

Miller’s Outpost FTW!
I would go back in a heartbeat with a little snippet of todays tech.

I worked in a couple stores in that mall as an NLU student back in the day.

Is The Camouflage Shop still open?

This tells how memory fades... I thought for sure Chelsea's and Tilt were still there in 92.
***EDIT***
Nevermind, I just saw Tilt. I thought Eyemasters had taken its old spot.

I applied for a job there.
Didn’t even get a call back.

That’s a strange thumbnail to come across. I never heard of a corndog 7 in my life til I walked past one in the Laurel mall this weekend. I guess Central MS is still stuck a few decades behind

Didn't watch, just assuming my wife and/or BIL is in that video somewhere.

You could also buy beer there then walk around the mall drinking and people watching. Good times.
