Scientists finally prove men’s and women’s brains actually do work differently

In a breakthrough study, a group of researchers from Stanford University demonstrated the differences between the brains of men and women by using artificial intelligence, which was more than 90% accurate in differentiating between sexes based on “hotspots” shown in brain scans.
“This is a very strong piece of evidence that sex is a robust determinant of human brain organization,” study author Vinod Menon, professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences, said in a statement, adding that “overlooking sex difference in brain organization” could hinder the treatment and diagnosis of neuropsychiatric conditions.
Published Monday in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, the latest research reveals that “sex plays a crucial role” in cognitive development, aging and neurological disorders, according to Menon, who also serves as director of the Stanford Cognitive & Systems Neuroscience Laboratory.

So we have a way to objectively measure gender. Trans activists and queer theorists all insist that gender isn’t biological and that it’s an identity issue in the brain. We should be able to see the scans identify who is female or male no matter what their sex is.

Well, now they can apply the model to study group of trans identified people to see if they are actually "born in the wrong body", but do it before HRT and after. I'd be curious to see the results.
ETA: I know about half a dozen people that identify as trans. Four are non binary transtrenders with other underlying issues. Two are, in my opinion, legitimately trans, and they are among some of the most tortured people I know. The two "legit" trans people would not wish their condition on anyone -- like most people with an incurable mental illness.
I have bipolar disorder, so I can empathize. If a doctor came to me and said, "We can cure you, but we have to take your arm." I would say, "Yes," without any hesitation.
That's the choice many doctors are offering people, but just like you can't take away my condition by cutting off my arm, you can't take theirs away by cutting off a penis or breasts.
It's a lie.
People that just say, "I feel like a woman today but tomorrow I might feel like a man," disgust me.

And yet, are they seeking treatment to realign their self perception to their bodily reality? Or are they trying to modify their body or appearance to align with their mental illness?
Like you said, modifying the body to pretend the opposite of reality isn’t going to lead to peace and internal tranquility. We don’t agree with anorexics that they’re morbidly obese and encourage them to lose even more weight.
