The CoolMen costs around £240 ($304) and should be worn for 12-16 hours a day

Developers say it raises sperm count by keeping optimum testicle temperature

Modern men's sperm counts are dropping because of unhealthy lifestyles

The device is still in the testing phase but creators hope to sell it to the public

quote:

Testicles have to be one to two degrees cooler than a man's body temperature for optimum sperm production, but tight clothes, saunas and laptops can heat them up.

Costing around £240 ($304), the CoolMen is connected to the wearer's smartphone to allow real-time temperature monitoring and is currently undergoing medical testing.

Recent studies show sperm counts around the world are plummeting – men living in Western countries are thought to have nearly 60 per cent less than 40 years ago.

Floundering fertility rates are thought to be down to unhealthy modern lifestyles which involve smoking, bad diets, obesity, exposure to plastics and inactivity.

Gonna be honest, that doesn’t look comfortable at all. Looks like it would be a vice grip on my nuts.

ETA: you’ve gotta wear compression shorts or at least briefs in the southeast United States and especially the gulf states unless you want perpetual swamp arse for 9 months out of the year.

How have men survived for millennia without using a smartphone to monitor the temperature of their balls?

I never wear briefs or compressions and I never get swamp arse.

I don't think this is something that happens to everyone.

Sperm counts are definitely dropping, in addition to the more educated portions of our society practicing more family planning as you suggest.

Pretty sure Handmaid’s Tale is due to female fertility issues, not male fertility issues.

Smoking is at an all time low.

Diets should be more meats and less soy.

Remember when all those Samsung Galaxy Note phones were exploding in people's pockets? I member.

Hard pass due to me not wanting any chance of my nuts being blown off by a faulty charging port/battery. And/or I dont want an optimal sperm count. I've got my two kids and dont want any more. No thank you.
