I’ll keep going on this thread and bragging on the joy and different life perspective that my newborn has brought me in just a few months of life.

Not good news per se, but something lucky I suppose.

Had my phone on the bed rail of my truck when I left my house to run to store. A gaggle of neighborhood geese abruptly crossed the road forcing me to slam on my breaks. I heard a noise in my truck bed, and it turned out to be my phone falling safely into it. I was a few hundred feet from turning into a major highway where I would have surely lost or destroyed my phone

I finally started exercising daily about a month ago after not exercising at all for 1.5 years.

Down 12 lbs and already got my bench press up to 225 3 reps for me last set

38 year old me still has a little juice

For reference: I was struggling with 135 a month ago. Felt embarrassing

Because I worked 56 hours so far this week, (after working every day last week and 60 hours pretty much every week before that), I'm able to take a day off and go on a little day trip with friends tomorrow.

And only have to work 4 hours on Sunday.

And I'm still barely scraping by in this economy. Hoping a new job pans out soon

I bought my first riding lawnmower yesterday. Always push mowed but my back won’t tolerate it anymore. Holy cow! What used to take hours was done in short order and I didn’t break a sweat. I used to not mind mowing because it was good exercise, now I’ve dreaded it because of the pain.

I’m grateful…

Found out a few weeks ago that I did not have cancer. Had to wait six days for biopsy report.

I didn’t sweat it at all as I gave it to God to handle. Wasn’t a thing that I could do about it.

You know, I always thought this was weird when people said this. Like how could it possibly be great, how can it not be absolute misery every single day. That damn insanity though won't let you stop. But it got easy once I just fully surrendered and was just like it is what it is. Lets make the best of this. So I like things like this good news shares or gratitude sharing. Its a good reminder that life really is great even in some of the small things.

And I learned soooo much about myself through step work and therapy in sobriety that I don't even feel like the same person. I learned so much about myself and how my brain works that just explains so much.

Its freeing, which makes its great. So I get it now.

Everything is better and luckily I stopped before I ruined any relationships. I unfortunately just lost one in sobriety instead, but you know what that says about that so...

Walked both the dogs this morning, they just love to get outside the fence and sniff all over, makes them really happy. It lifts my mood every time.
