My father’s mother was a hoarder. I was very young and only met her a couple of times. I was a small child but I remember her living room was so piled with newspapers and magazines that it had little walkways through the room. Everything else was piled head high.
I wonder what the psychology of that is?

Im not debating whether or not she had a psychological problem though. My wife’s mother’s cousin died a few weeks ago and we had to clean out her house. She had kept every piece of paper since the 90s. We filled up a construction dumpster.

The wife’s bathroom and closet area was gross but the rest of the house was pretty normally lived in based on the body cam footage. Even her bathroom area wasn’t terribly shocking. Women can be messy af, especially when there’s nobody to keep up appearances for. Gene hung out across the house and upstairs on the main level, apparently.
