Sodium public service announcement for people with high BP. Papa Johns.

I am sensitive to sodium when it comes to spikes in blood pressure. I understand that most people arent, but for those who are, be wary of Papa Johns "Works" pizza.
Recently on a business trip, I ordered a Large Works pizza while at a hotel. I ordered a large because it was on sale for $12.
I received the pizza and ate 5 of 8 pieces in about 20 mintues. Yes this is a little much but it didnt seem obscene to me.
About 15 mintues after I finished eating, I began feeling bad. My heart was racing and pulse was pounding. I felt like I needed to lay down. I knew this feeling. My blood pressure was spiking.
I lied down on the bed and googled the nutrition facts for Papa Johns Pizza. To my suprise, each piece of "Works" pizza had 960 MG of Sodium!!! Wow, I had consumed almost 5000 MG of Sudium in a few minutes!
It took a couple hours for my blood pressure to return to normal.
I understand that sodium doesnt effect most people this way, but there are plenty of people that it does.
Watch out, and check the nutrition before ordering.
Thanks

I figured all junk food was high in sodium.

interesting...I sometimes order the very same pizza that you did and generally eat about half at a time. I makes sense that it is loaded with sodium because I am thirsty as shite after I eat. I'll have to think a little harder when I want pizza next time.

Pizza has a ton of sodium. It makes me thirsty for a whole day if I eat it.

I hope this is a troll. You ordered at large pizza with about 8 different toppings, downed 1/2 to 3/4 of it in a span of 20 minutes and are somehow surprised it made you feel bad soon after?

5000 mg of sodium in 15 min will spike anyone's BP.
The secret of selling junk food is to find a combination of high salt, fat and refined carbs. That is why so many people look like walking Creme Puffs.
