If I had a buck for every time I heard "I do a little Jay and Jane" in Chevys I could take off work this week.

Moved in big time. A large reason was due to the fact that Hammond is located at the junction of 55 & 12. Made it easy for it to flow in and out.

Those Tursday nights $10 all you can drink at Stray Cats and Mickeys got wild.
I was there between 95 and 98.

No love for La Crieks (aka The Hammond Social Club)
The Sting, I think this came to be Jr's

What was the name of that place right over the tracks on the NE side of campus? This would have been during the early 80's.

Spent tons of time at $2 pitcher night at the Brown Door.

Mickeys, Extras, Brown Door, Crescent, all solid places. Brown Door and Crescent to chill, Mickeys and Sextras to chase the dirty dirty whores around.

When I was there 92-93, Chevy's and Stray Cats (II)? Were next door.

One stop booty shop 4 nights/week.

What was that shite-kicker bar further down where everybody wore hats and boots and line danced and shite? Locals loved that place.

Crescent was mandatory for us.

RIP Asterisks
RIP Atlas
Good riddance to the Buzz
RIP to Club Brady's at night
RIP to going to the Brown Door without worrying about being shot

The Crescent is still alive and kicking, and honestly that's all you ever need in a bar.

I had a kickin chicken from Mariners last week while passing through Hammond. Still the same 20 years later.

I worked at Brady's for 2 years, before it became club Brady's. Best college job ever, had so many great times, the whole crew who worked there just hang at the bar with all the regulars, was great time.
