Can anybody recommend a spine Dr at Baton Rouge Orthopedic Clinic?
I have sciatica pain and have been unable to walk for 2 weeks. Or more importantly, who to avoid. Thanks .

Jason Smith or Hank Eiserloh. Why ortho and not neuro?

David Ferachi. Wife had a 360 fusion in 2017 and upper 3 levels on January 3rd. Both surgery’s went great. No more pain.

Eiserloh is the best in Baton Rouge. He did my neck fusion 10 years ago and also my two level back fusion last summer.

Wasn't really satisfied with Smith. Go to neuro

If your open to going to the Neuromedical Center I highly recommend Dr. Kelly Scrantz or Dr. Oberlander.

Everyone speaks highly of Scrantz, so I went. For better or worse, his only insight was “you’re going to have back spasms the rest of your life. Deal with it”.

Thanks for your responses. Eiserloh is booked a month out.
My guess is I need an epidural injection. I've visited Neuro with my parents. Not impressed.

Book: Live Pain Free by Lee Albert
Read the beginning of the book(quick & easy read), do the very basic stretches and slackenings of muscles religiously & you will be rid of that pain. I was doing everything for a month and felt better than I have in years. I stopped for two weeks and some of the pain returned already. Starting back up again now that kids are back in school.

Dr. Jorge Isaza.
ETA, not at BROC if you want to go outside of a big clinic.

Have you tried physical therapy for this? PT can help without needing an injection. Just a thought.

I can't get off sofa due to pain to do PT. I'm not opposed to PT after they get my pain under control.

That’s the purpose of PT.
Don’t let some guy who wants to cut on you convince you it’s the only way.
Dry Needling, Soft Tissue Work, Deep Core Training.
Or… go get a back surgery. He unhappy like the vast amount of people who have back surgery and go ahead and pre for another back surgery within a few years.
Did you know that 80% of cases involving back pain (including disc issues) do not require surgical intervention?
Any doctor that promises you instant results is not being truthful as back surgery as a whole is a crapshoot.
