St. Augustine vs Destin

Heading to Florida next month with a couple friends and want to know what's the better spot.
We went to Destin a couple years ago but my friend's cousin runs deep sea fishing charter and might be able to go for free. Plus we might stop in Jacksonville and hang out at Daytona for a day.
What says the OT?

This, except I would argue you could go up as far as Fort Lauderdale.

Why on earth would you stop in Jacksonville? Stick to the pan handle beaches. Way better. St. Augustine is a nice weekend get a way if you already live in FL, but I don't think I'd go there just to check it out. Maybe when I'm older.

Go to grayton beach instead. Atlantic beach will have colder water also.
