Stores that don’t open on time

As a younger man I can’t ever recall this happening, now it seems commonplace. Even the Walmart gas station cant open on time.

Lazy millennials and gen z'ers.

I try to never go to a business at opening or closing time.

Just pay at the pump. What is it that you absolutely have to have from inside the store this early?

"This early" like its 3AM
Your post sums up the lazy millenial and Zer mentality, dont worry about what I need or why. Open the store to the posted hours. Maybe I need a pack of Reds to burn after dealing with your woman.
You seem triggered though, is it tough working the gas station counter baw?

My favorite is when they're in the store looking out at you waiting to get in after the posted opening time has passed.

Sorry you're poor and have to pay cash for your gas inside. When it opens, drop a 20 for your reds and put the change on the pump. That'll get you until tomorrow.

Had this happen at AutoZone recently. With 1 minute until store hours I saw the dude walking up from the back of the store so I hop out my truck thinking he was coming to the door. fricker went stand behind the counter texting on his phone for another 2 minutes. He saw me standing there.

I work retail I'm on the opposite side of the coin and can't stand when cx won't leave the store at closing time despite 3 calls over the loud speakers that we closed 15 minutes ago.

Tell me you've never tried this without telling me you've never tried this

2 energy drinks a pack of zyn

I think it's a can of zyn, not a pack. And you probably should just buy a roll of zyn when you purchase.

Once had a customer sneak in after closing to do shopping. We had pulled the registers and finalized all the accounting for the night when she came walking up when a buggy full of shite. She was such an entitled a-hole.

I'm a lot more annoyed by those who block two sets of pumps so they don't have to walk twenty more feet to go buy a pack of smokes. Because that shite happens any time of the day.

Yes. You have to take your money to the places that actually care to create some competition

Complaining about reliability and punctuality of gas station employees: new old man achievement unlocked. Nothing worse than a dumpy old man that isn’t fully prepared for the day and has to stop at the store first thing, get your shite together grouch

The USPS post office will close whenever the clerk feels like it.
2-3 hour "lunch breaks" at the one near me are not uncommon.

Also stores with regular hours that start with 10AM. In 2025. WHY

a couple of minutes late doesnt bother me. But some of these places I cant understand how they stay in business. Last year I was having a couple of workgroup meetings every week that were starting at 630am. Several times I swung into the Mary Lee's in Walker to grab breakfast for the team and they just didnt show up to open the store at all that day. I can see once if someone is sick or something since its a small business, but I'm told he does that at least once or twice a week. Must be a good margin on donuts if you dont have to worry about opening your business.

I’m more aggravated with stores that have hours like 9-4 and are closed on weekends.
