My friend lost a special roach clip at “ The Warehouse “ on Tchoupatoulis by passing it “down the line “. The next concert it came down the row back to him.

No wonder virginity is at an all time high. Not for teachers.
It's because they have to interact with their students. That's the only guys they are meeting these days. They start liking a guy, fall in love, and just forget they're married, and he's only 17. .

screens are more addictive than substances. Also, vapes have replaced cigs.

Accurate, so many teens are vaping. It’s ridiculous.

Two thirds of high school kids smoked weed in the 70s? Yea, I'm not buying that

I buy it, particularly if they are talking about occasional or one or two times type of use. I was a high school kid in the 70s. I graduated in May of 80. I smoked pot in high school. I would estimate more than two-thirds of the folks I knew in my graduating class smoked pot at least a few times including the honor students and people thought of as straight-laced. I went to Acadiana High.

Increase in prices coupled with nazi like enforcement of the age restrictions on cigarettes and alcohol.

Dirtiest fans in High School Football in the 1977 semifinals. Grown women spitting on us after kicking the wrecking rams' arse.

Until the next week in Galliano, LA. South Lafourche may have been worse. No spitting but broken windows and fights, lol.

Seems about right. Those coming of age in the 70s must have permanent brain damage considering the damage they’re still doing to this country.

That sounds made up. I was a student at that game and wasn't expecting that beatdown. Most folks were pretty deflated afterward.

The principal of Bonabel made some pretty disparaging remarks about Acadiana before the game. What was the final score? 28-14 or 35-14? My old brain can't recall.

It was a long time before Acadian got back to a semifinal. 2001 was the next time they reached that far. How has Bonabel fared since then?

Increase in prices
This week I noticed a sign outside a convenience store advertising Newport's for $4.00 a pack. I quit in 2010. Weren't all cigarettes around $1.50 back then? And $20.00 a carton?

I bought a carton two different times, two or three years apart. to save money in the 90's.. After the second time of realizing I smoked way more when I did that, I never bought a cartoon again.

In HS in the late 70's. EVERYBODY I knew in HS smoked at least a little weed. Alot of people daily. Smoked it in the smoking section out in front fo the school or the parking lot. It was readily available and super cheap (from ditch weed to Columbia Gold, Panama Red, Thai sticks, etc.). None of it had any of the potency you see today. It was the thing to do.

Of course, I went to public schools in SC then La, not some snooty La private school.

My husband was a Seabee stationed at Hueneme; he also went to Guam and Diego Garcia. I think he was in Oxnard from 74-77ish? What’s really weird is that my stepdad was stationed at Pt Mugu and we had it figured out that we were both living in the Silver Strand Beach community at the same time. We didn’t meet until 6 years later in Louisiana.

Yeah it was likely all of them from what I recall. Or damn near. Funny how now it's legal and not nearly as many people are smoking. Sounds like bullshite.

Different times, different generations. Things don’t always stay the same.

Pot was popular in the 70s, now it’s weak compared to other crap out there will addict us and kill us.

Please be careful everyone……

When did you go to High School. I graduated Ponchatoula High in 1988 and these numbers wouldn't surprise me. A ton of kids that gave off zero signs they were smoking weed were doing it. A lot just kept very down low because they know how frowned upon it was.

Never really smoked. My wife did and was a pack a day or more smoker. She always bought by the carton. She routinely had two packs in her purse.
