The name is pretty silly. She should be named Tobor the Great.

Anyway is it worth $800?

It keeps it refrigerated until you tell it to start cooking

Because taking food from the fridge to the oven is apparently too big of a task now

This thing looks like it’s designed for people who like to talk about how they work so much and schedule emails to go out at 11pm.

Seems like a single person or a small family could get some use out of it. I’m sure the pre-packaged meals they sell would get pricey in a hurry, but if you can halfway cook, you can make your own recipes.

They are on sale for half price on the website. I think it is completely overpriced at $800, but $400 is the price of a good microwave, so I’d try one at that price.

Yeah, until some socially awkward dude in South Korea hacks your kitchen bot, starts it cooking at 10:30 AM and over cooks your $18.99/lb New York strip.

I think this thing is cool.

Really pricey though. The 400 off is if you buy some meals with it. Plus the accessories are outrageously priced too.

With a slow cooker I prep the night before then put it in the crock pot in the morning and let it cook while at work.

This you can put the stuff in the night before and just set it to start for whenever.

This thing and an air fryer and you are good.

I think the main appeal is programmability and having it ready when you get home.

Then again my wife's cuisanart crockpot can kinda do th at.

Well it keeps it cool, your crock pot doesn’t.

frick no. It can refrigerate or cook two different things and it has a timer. Whoop-dee-friggin-doo.

In essence you're paying $800 for the effort of moving two things from the fridge to the oven at a specific time.

A good pressure cooker costs much less.

Get a Shark instead and thank me later.

I like the idea. But no. Way overpriced for what it does. You can attain similar functionality with sous vide’d vaccum packed meals for less than half that cost.

I bought one- the pasta maker is on it's way. I'm in the 100 day return window, I may send it back. They REALLY push you to use their meals, and it's not very user-friendly otherwise. I wanted the egg bite tray, but you can't order it alone- you have to get an $85 package. Screw that.

I got it so I could use the app and make dinner for the kids when they're coming over while I'm working 30 miles away until 5:30 pm.

This - I'd rather spend the $ on some good basic ingredients and make it myself.

It be like…”I got more money than I know what to do with, and plenty more space to stash useless kitchen tech junk.”
