Graphic Video

quote:

HCSO says they received multiple calls about the man who had a fully-loaded rifle, body armor, a headset, and more.

Chief Deputy Joseph Maurer says deputies arrived on scene minutes later and asked Morin to drop his weapon. After refusing, three deputies shot the man, who later died from his injuries.

Morin did a couple of deployments and was infantry. Stationed at Ft Polk for a while so some people on here might know him. Sounds like he was going through some serious mental health issues

Sad situation all around. Cops did what they had to but it's a shame our vets so often don't get the care they need.

Looks like it could be 'suicide by cop.'

He woke up and went into full combat mode. I bet it was PTSD. It doesn't take much to bring in a flashback, especially with the world we live in today

Sort of. Everything is blurred out.

That's a shitty situation for the cops.

That's a good question. I wonder what prompted the call or if it was just someone calling him in for being in tac gear. Clearly though, poor guy was struggling between the ears.

Unfortunately there will be more and more of these. Lots of guys out there hanging by a thread. Time is not on their side.

Poor guy. May God please rest his soul.

Watching the video on my phone I couldn’t see the actual shooting occur.

Did he do anything illegal besides not listen to commands to drop his gun? Did he point it towards anyone?

The news this morning said local residents called 911 because he had a weapon and was dressed in fatigues. They gave no indication of him doing anything wrong or illegal.

If you watch towards the end they show him getting shot from the helicopter. Can't hear commands but I didn't see him lift his rifle.

No open carry in FL, can’t brandish a weapon in public unless hunting or fishing

I'm not so sure open carry in Florida is legal.

WTF with all these, did he actually commit a crying bleeding heart posts?

What were the cops supposed to do? Get shot because all he did was pull a gun and point it at them?
