Tell Me About The DMT Elves? What's your theory?

Since we have an impressive selection of astronauts, shamans, time travelers, personal gurus, angry soy boys, drug-addled reprobates and truck-nut baws here, I thought I'd ask. There are hundreds of videos out there by physicians, neuroscientists, etc. out there weighing in on DMT and the elves. Why the similarities with what the brain has created? What about the rational and educated people who actually believe it is a portal to another physical dimension. Prefacing this with I have no idea other than what I hear, what sayeth the Great Minds of the OT?

I'm gonna go with two thirds mass hysteria (sorta) and a third of longing for a shared experience that subconsciously connects the "experience" with others.

The pineal gland actually produces DMT. So that makes sense. I am curious about DMT and the relationship with lucid dreaming, psychotic episodes like schizophrenia and near-death experiences. It's more like the entirety of your cognitive capacity at the expense of your physical capacity and psychological limitations. You are incapacitated over here and shot through a cannon over there. Never took a hallucinogen but curious to hear from those who have.

The main thing that they are getting at is why do people have the same creatures hidden in their mind coming out when you have taken dmt. People all talk about very similar things they see. I think it just unlocks a different dimension that we can glimpse into.

I remember a Terrence McKenna audio tape I heard back in the 90's where he describes seeing elves hopping in and out of his chest while on DMT.

I think it just unlocked a shared genetic history that isn't accessible with the conscious mind. Same place where instinct comes from.

Same thing as the elves, just with another trigger to unlock that part of our genetic history.

Yep. Me too. The Collective unconscious that we get glimpses of and that some people seem to hone while others are oblivious too. I have on several occasions of great tumult in my life had a vivid dream and a problem that was unsolvable was suddenly solved upon awakening, and a course of action set.
