Texas registration sticker remove and reapply question...

...Someone, not naming names, see Bruce Willis in Pulp Fiction, put the wrong registration sticker on the wrong car. I need to remove the sticker and reapply to right car. Any thoughts on how to accomplish this?

Razor blade, slowly work it between the sticker and glass. Better if you have a handle to get leverage.

Strangely enough that does in fact happen. My dad had two stickers and put one on his Bentley and the other on his Toyota Corolla.
Go down to the tax office and buy another sticker. I think a replacement here in TX is 15 bucks.

When I've changed registration stickers in texas in the past they just peel off with a finger nail. I've never had issues

Yeah, the new stickers peel off pretty easily. The stickers that used to pull a part when you peeled them off are no longer in use.

It does not void it by having the word "void" or some other word appear?

To answer the question, an exacto knife should suffice. Just put some gorrilla glue when you reapply it.

Before they started printing counterfeit stickers, a large portion of the illegal aliens in Texas were getting them off of other people's cars with razor blades, and putting them on their old beaters. It wouldn't surprise me for LEO to have the camera/computer technology to tell when a car has the wrong sticker now.

Within the past week I peeled off the old one, fingernail, and came off with no tear.

Just contact state and get another one issued. It's like $15 dollars or so. At least the initial cost of sticker is cheaper than La by $30-50
