The hypocrite that is the Advocate's Ed Pratt

Nothing like a burst of outrage from the columnist this morning. The column headline is "When you threaten my health, that's where your rights end." Here is one nugget in his column:

The doctor and I both believe masks and vaccinations protect children and everyone they come in contact with. More so, it protects the children so the parents won’t have to think about this quote: “The hardest part of losing a child is living every day afterwards.”

Well, he has always been all in on lockdowns, masks, and vaccines although I must say I support vaccines. However, catch this little bit from the end of his column last week:

There is no wavering on the idea that the vaccine and masks are good ideas that can save lives. It was a major part of our conversations during both visits. Heck, we want this wall created by the pandemic to come down and we want others to join.

We are getting older and slower, but we know we want to meet many more times in the future. Hopefully then COVID-19 and its devastating damage won’t be an integral part of our conversations....

Well, the column was about the fried food he ate at a store after he came back to get his card he left behind.

With that, I bought it. A few minutes later I bit into it. I took a second and third bite. I could feel the pending damage of 2,500 calories, 300 carbs and 190 grams of fat racing through my body. I put it down. Actually, I was afraid.

Yet, it was a great ending to a wonderful weekend with my friends. I really missed them and their company and our glorious reminders of earlier times and the hope to gather again soon.

And the next time I’m in Ethel, I think I’ll buy two slices of that fried heaven.

Covid 19 LOVES fat people. Especially FAT OLDER PEOPLE such as Ed Pratt. It's obvious from looking at him that he won't pass for svelte. He has bitched and moaned about people resisting masks and shutdowns for 18 months now but NOT ONCE has he ever said anything about the best way to fight Covid-19: lose weight. Instead, the chow hound wolfs down the brown food while he lectures us on how to protect his arse from covid.

In my state, the health department says 50% of black women are obese. Black men are not far behind. 76% of all blacks are deficient in Vitamin D. Pratt could use his column to encourage better diet and nutrition to prevent the ravages of Covid 19 but its easeier to stuff his face as he lectures us.
