The latest Spider-Man is a lesbian woman in a wheelchair

In 2020's Spider-Verse #1, Marvel Comics got fans to design new spider-heroes, picking a handful of winners to appear in cameos throughout the multi-dimensional miniseries. Among the winners included Spider-Requiem, a puppeteer who uses her skills in battle, the Spinster, a French-revolution-inspired take on Madame Web, and V, a cuber-punk robo Spidersona from the year 2077. However, one of the best Spidersonas was created by Dayna Broder, who made Sun-Spider, a disabled hero who uses crutches when in costume, and an ambulatory wheelchair when not suited up. Now, Sun-Spider will star in her own story.
Why didn't they also make her a minority? Maybe make her Muslim? They could have really just piled on different things like they did the LBGTQ flag.

I’m not up to date on comics. It says the fans created it. Does that mean what I think it means? If the fans of this comic want this, why are you bothered?

So Spiderman comic fans created characters and then selected the ones they wanted to see.
If this is what those comic fans wanted, then more power to them.

Apparently one fan created it. Not sure the criteria if the fans chose it or if Marvel had the final say so on the winners.
