I've heard there's a section running parallel with old Perkins that's actually a bowling alley.

But overall..... a fugly house!

Pennington house:

Location: 11001 Highland Road, Baton Rouge, LA

Square Footage: 29,561

Bedrooms & Bathrooms: 8 bedrooms & 12 bathrooms.

Price: $18,000,000

This massive gated Mediterranean style estate is located at 11001 Highland Road in Baton Rouge, LA. It is situated on 12.5 acres and features two gated entrances and a man-made lake. It was built in 2006 and is owned by heiress and philanthropist Paula Pennington de la Bretonne. It features a large main house and several smaller buildings including a guest house. There is approximately 30,000 square feet of luxurious living space throughout with 8 bedrooms, 9 full and 3 half bathrooms, two grand foyers (one with curved staircase, one with double staircase), formal living and dining rooms, 2-story great room, gourmet kitchen with double islands, huge breakfast room, paneled home office, home theater, wine cellar, semi-detached 4+ car garage, covered patios, outdoor kitchen/BBQ area, saltwater swimming pool and more.

That, however, is the total square footage of all the buildings on the Pennington estate.
Bernhard's house is probably the largest single dwelling at 27,000 square feet.

Just around the corner from the elite Country Club of Louisiana lies a road less than a mile long known as Highland Crossing Street. It lacks the exclusive, gated ambience of its neighboring subdivision, but homes along this stretch are in the million-dollar club, fetching anywhere between $1.5 million and $10 million. Residing here is an eclectic mix of businessmen, lawyers, physicians and surgeons, and two failed gubernatorial candidates. Among its more high-profile residents: Dr. Charles Williamson Sr. of Williamson Eye Center, former Shaw CEO Jim Bernhard, Performance Contractors President Art Favre, as well as former Congressman Cleo Fields and former state Sen. Walter Boasso, both of whom ran unsuccessfully at different times for governor.

Steve's house that was built within the last few years is within a few hundred yards i believe. They just had a wedding on the grounds earlier this year.

Steve and Dee Keller own the house directly to the right of the one being built. It was an original old Hayes Town that they gutted and added on. Now it looks identical to Matt and Sherie McKays house on Highland Road past Sabans old house towards LSU. They are old friends. Jason Keller owns Block and Steve is the money behind it.

To the right of Kellers house the new painted brick closer to the road is Tommy Calandros.

I was told Walter Buasso bought the property and had the plans drawn for the monstrosity then sold it and plans prior to construction. Not sure who is the owner but it certainly isn't anyone so far listed. I know them all.

I think the the big house being built on Old Perkins is owned by the Dillons.

The Titans player mentioned above could be Kevin Mawae.
