What's the consensus on these? Good stores and owners/workers? Fair enough prices? Cater to the working crowd or just to college students with nothing better to do?

They've tried to run the one in Mandeville out of town for decades. Still there though.

I referred to that business enterprise as a "chain of head shops" once. The owner was very annoyed. He emphatically corrected me. They are "Smoke Shops"!

ETA: I personally think the smokeshop by the old Louie's that's connected to the back of what Chinese Combo King used to be is better.
