Saw this on the nextdoor neighbor website, surprisingly no neighborhoods in the East made the list.

Safest Neighborhoods to Live in New Orleans:

1. West End
Located in New Orleans, the West End is widely known as the safest neighborhood. With its perfect blend of suburban lifestyle, safety, and affordability, West End is the go-to place for many people. Living in West End is a dream come true for those who love outdoor activities, especially fishing at Lake Pontchartrain. The waterfront boathouses in West End are a popular choice for residents. Compared to other neighborhoods in New Orleans, West End is a staggering 94% safer, making it an ideal place to call home. With a median home price of $181,000, West End is also affordable for those looking to settle down.

2. Old Aurora
Old Aurora is an ideal place to settle in New Orleans, especially for families and retirees seeking a peaceful lifestyle. Situated across the Mississippi River from the French Quarter, this neighborhood offers breathtaking views of the downtown skyline. Despite being near the city’s major attractions, Old Aurora is a haven with a low violent crime rate. It is 77% safer than other areas in New Orleans. Residents can enjoy a range of recreational activities, including golf courses and open parks, and indulge in various dining options.

3. Lake Shore-Lake Vista
Lake Shore, a subdistrict of Lakeview, is considered one of the safest neighborhoods in New Orleans. With a population of just over 2,200, the total crime rate in Lake Shore is 1,191 per 100,000, making it 66% safer than the Louisiana average. Residents of Lake Shore can easily access the beach, which is within walking distance of the neighbourhood. The area also offers nearby parks, biking paths, and access to the beautiful Lake Pontchartrain. The median home price in Lake Shore is $440,800.

I don't know WTF "Old Aurora" is, but there's a high likelihood of getting carjacked in the rest of those neighborhoods.

We all know that Lakeview is a bit less safe than St Roch, but just a step above Central City.

Old Aurora is in Algiers. Not safe. And it is across the river from Chalmette, not the French Quarter.

Venetian Isle or English Turn have to be 1 then 2.

After that it depends on how small you want to consider a neighborhood.

There is no such thing as a "safe" neighborhood in New Orleans besides Audubon Place. There's been way too many car jackings/attempted car jackings in supposedly "safe" neighborhoods for me to believe that BS anymore.

St. Roch.......seriously?

I'd rather take my chances across St.Claude in Bywater.

Affordability???? I'd have to sell my kids to afford that area. But, in terms of safety anything between the lake and Robt.E Lee is very safe.
