Gen X should be thankful boomers exist otherwise they'd be the absolute worst generation in American history

I’m Gen X and I have no idea who Kit Hoover is. Is she related to the vacuum people?

They were the first latchkey kids. It had a significant impact and many never learned how to be a parent because theirs were absent and it stunted their emotional growth. No surprise that Gen Xers’ children became the entitled generation.

Watched my oldest boy get married a few weeks ago. My oldest daughter informed me Easter Sunday that she’s pregnant. I turn 50 in 2 months.
My youngest child starts kindergarten in August and will only be 5 years older than my soon to be grandchild.
And I’m pretty sure I have a gout flare up in my very near future.
I’m reminded frequently that I’m getting old. But I’ll be damned if I’m not getting better at the same time.

Boomers are the most entitled generation and it's by a WIDE margin.
They are an absolute pain to serve at restaurants.
They are by far the worst demographic to assist when working in customer service.
Ever have a conversation with a boomer around? You get 60 seconds maximum before they either make the conversation completely about them or proceed to just absolutely shite all over whomever else is in the conversation about any random thing.
You can't ever ask them for help or advice without them talking down to you.
They take every opportunity in any of the above situations to tell you both how great they are and how awful you and your generation are.
ETA: They also talk about how useless and entitled the two generations THAT THEY RAISED are. Zero self awareness and they take zero responsibility for anything.

At least Boomers showed up to work on time. Employers would much rather have Boomers coming down the pike than Zoomers.

Kit was on the first season of MTV’s Road Rules along with Kat, Mark, an Indian (feather) girl, and Los. Maybe Los was another season - Not gonna look it up. Mark still does challenge shows based on the RR season, Kit has been successful in broadcasting, Kat went to Columbia U and probably hides the fact she did RR, the other two disappeared from public awareness as far as I know.

I'd rather boomers not show up. They are distracting and inefficient when in the workplace.
I'm not not Gen Z btw. They have their own issues.
