but HEB has a legit beer and wine selection as well.
There is a certain brand/bottle of wine that the wife absolultely loves, and the only place we have ever found it is some of the HEBs (not all of them carry it). We are in Texas a couple of times a year, and we always bring back at least a dozen bottles of it.

Rouses is the closest thing in LA to HEB but it still comes up short.

I did a boil in your hometown Saturday and I'll be in New Orleans Friday.

HEB is one of the few consistent suppliers of live crawfish inside the loop.
Their Montrose location has local live music 2 Fridays a month with a dozen food trucks on site too. Does Rouses do anything like that?

I heard that dude is the king of spillway crawfish in LA so not really weird if true
His family were crawfish farmers exclusively until the whole swamp people thing started.

Troy has been involved in the crawfish buying and selling business for 20+ years. Way before the History channel got on scene. The commercials are kinda corny, but HEB is the bomb!!

HEB is a very good grocery store in Texas. Shop there ever week and missed it a lot when I was at school at LSU. They likely have solid quality crawfish because most of their stuff is.
They're small. End of story. $3 per pound.
