One of the world's top water-skiers has died suddenly aged just 18.
Micky Geller from Carp, Ontario, Canada, was a freshman at the University of Lafayette-Indiana studying kinesiology when he died on May 6.
No further details on his death have been released, with his passing leaving his friends and loved ones in deep shock.
Geller was a member of the National Champion Ragin' Cajuns Waterski Team, as well as the Canadian Junior National Waterski team, and was ranked sixth in the world in the U-21 jump, according to his obit.
'It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we share with all of you the news that Micky Geller, from Ontario, has died suddenly,' Water Ski Canada posted this week.

How does a kid from Canada get good at water skiing?

This is all very confusing. Canadians water skiing? Ragin Cajuns in Indiana?

makes sense baw, we got kicked down here from Nova Scotia, and it makes sense that the only thing USL is good at "athletics" wise is water skiing, and just as much sense as the baw's major was kinesiology

“In his free time Micky enjoyed the company of close friends, motorcycling, snowmobiling, having deep conversations and debates and just chillin,'” the obituary reads. “With his full throttle approach to life, Micky experienced more in his 18 years than many ever will. However, he was just cracking the surface of the possibilities that lay ahead.”

The university, in its own style guide, says it should NEVER be referred to as UL. That’s a different university.

I thought ULM was the waterskiing powerhouse, at least they were back in the day.
I’m putting my money one the good ole fashioned “fresh water brain eating amoeba” (Naegleria fowleri), as opposed to the Covid vaccine. Has anyone healthy actually had a vaccine/booster in the past year?
