WWL fired Spud and replaced him with Angela Hill, she wasn’t doing well so WWL brought in Scoot to help her out, which eventually led to Scoot taking over. Scoot likes to call something out without actually calling it out, plus 4 years of Trump broke him. I think Scoot is a good dude but he has to play a role to stay on air.

He had his arm around (and was dancing with) an appropriately aged woman at Rock n Bowl on Sunday.
Other than the constant Latoya bashing, WWL Radio has reached a new level of unlistenability (new traffic woman's laugh is horrible; forced happy talk between the host and traffic and news reporters, awful commercials [Ramsey's, Springfield Wellness Center], etc.)

I will cut Scoot some slack for old times sake. He started his morning show on FM radio around the time I was starting high school. We used to think he was hilariously funny back then.

Yeah, I hear him sometimes and he has some TDS, but not nearly as bad as many of these radio and TV people. Also, I noticed that after Scoot got jumped, he doesn't hesitate to say "young punk thugs" and he'll say it over and over when talking about crime in the city when the mega-libs would die first before saying the word thug when referring to criminals in the city.

WWL hasn’t been listenable since they lost Rush Limbaugh to WRNO. Those 3 hours of broadcasting M-F, probably made the station enough to keep and retain decent talent.
Now they only have the Saints as their big draw, the only issue with that is that the NFL is an expensive endeavor with them hiring sports hosts, making travel arrangements, licensing with the NFL/Saints, clearing hours of programming, etc.
But that is all they have left, keeping them as a talk station, otherwise they would have faded into obscurity.
