Welcome to The Hotel Monroe, a place where traveling souls and lifelong friends gather to taste the comfort, class, and culture of Northeast Louisiana. While you’re here, you’re one of us. Pull up a chair and grab a glass—cheers to Southern comforts.

Enjoy being woken up at 3am when the train comes through.

They’re putting it there for this reason. Once the proposed new Amtrak route comes through it will stop there. Trying to revitalize before it arrives. Decent urban planning, for once

They need to get with a hotel group if they want anyone to find that place.
Could work as an Autograph Collection with Marriott or Curio Collection with Hilton.

Everything about it screams, "forget you're in Funroe."

Good deal. Nothing about that on the linked site.

Is that last pic an indoor pool or an unplanned flood?

Here comes a bunch of dudes who have Sharon Broome and Teedy as their mayor to say how shitty north Louisiana is.

Not popular here, but boutique stuff like this coupled with good infrastructure makes people want to move to your area.
Lot of stuff like this is sometimes met with the disdain of the locals, perhaps saying that the establishment is all fluff and no substance. Which may be true, but most things in this state are no fluff and no substance.
Perhaps another antique store would be better. Aren't those nice? Antique stores. Mamaws shite that the family doesn't want so now some idiot tries to pass it off as "timeless".

A poboy on a nice day outside seating at Trapps is always enjoyable. And JACs is solid bbq. Good for Monroe.

Looks cool to me? Wonder how much the renovation cost?
