Kind of indicative of a society where people have more expendable income and free time to do what they enjoy other than fricking.
Exploding population usually takes place amongst poor people because fricking is a lot like fishing, you do not have to have the best equipment and spend a lot of money to have a helluva good time with the right attitude. Poor people have time, they don't have the means to do much in life which is enjoyable and there is nothing more enjoyable than fricking which costs nothing for 9 months.....

The poor used to have more kids so that they had manpower to tend the fields. Now they have more kids because they're uneducated, unintelligent, and/or impulsive, none of which lends itself to making decisions with the future in mind (hence why many of them are also poor in the first place).

Some of the states with the largest drops have a higher percentage of Catholics in them.
Many of the largely Hispanic (Catholic) states are showing large decreases.

I did honestly think Louisiana had more Catholics than 25-26%. I didnt realize the number branch off religions did in that region.

Agreed that kids are definitely not having as much sex, and not because of religious, saving themselves for marriage kind of ideas. There's almost like a 21 Jump Street kind of phenomenon going on where it's become cool to be asexual in high school.
But generally, your 17 y/o neighbor kid is probably not having sex because he's socially stunted from COVID and playing video games all day, and not because he wants to be a tranny. (Although, he probably does lean liberal, but that's every generation when they're young.)
