Youtube

Link is a 15 min video discussing it from a very underrated conservative commentator Matt Christiansen.

This cash grab is ridiculous. I have little sympathy left for them. Sue the various law enforcement cowards instead of one of the largest video game developers on the planet now under the 3 trillion dollar Microsoft, the largest corporation on the planet. It’s so obvious they’re milking the death of their children for money.

Lawyers tend to do that.

The parents still have to be complicit.

It seems there is some implication of other parties being gun manufacturers, the background check company, and others being targeted on a direct assault on the 2A. Also they’re involving Facebook. This is a farce

I’m pretty sure I’d do much worse if my kids were killed at school

It’s a bold move to blame parents for wanting to watch the world burn after their children were gunned down in a horrific massacre.

You clearly can’t imagine that amount of grief.

Not really, just everybody is afraid to say it.

It was a tragedy, yes. take the police dept to court? Absolutely.

Going to be argued that kids are desensitized to killing with guns and reality is blurred.

The only way to pick a side is to ask yourself if that killer had never played a single violent video game or seen any violent movie… ever… would he have done that?

Interesting question that cannot be answered.

By that token can every rape victim sue law and order special victims unit? They should sue the columbine parents too.

How about fat people sue M&Ms since they have commercials inducing them to eat?

Sue the police force. Sue the parents of the perp. Sue any docs of the perp who may have known the possible danger. Sue the school.

Suing activision is essentially a cash grab. And if successful sue to bad jury a dangerous prescedent.

I would definitely point the finger at violent video games and films versus the firearm manufacturers.
The first two industries are making bank off the violence in their content which they know appeals to impressionable young teens while the gun manufacturers operate in a much more responsible environment.
Having said that-it really comes back to engaged parenting. Don’t turn your kids loose for hundreds of hours and let videos and online content establish what’s acceptable and exciting behavior.

I would not pass judgement unless you’ve experienced what they have. It’s not about money. They’re chasing a sense of justice or revenge that they will never really be able to reach.

The burden of proof is on the plaintiffs. Your comment is a great example of a straw man argument.

I agree with the sentiments that they probably aren’t trying to get rich with this move so much as punish anyone they can even those distantly involved

I suspect their motivation isn’t a new house and cars nearly as much as “frick anyone and everyone for the world being unfair to me” and trying to get some control over the idea of chasing justice

What a stupid take. Why not go after violent movies too, while you're at it? Or violent music? Hell, lets throw the entire internet in while we're at it.

Should be going after the FBI, YouTube, and Tik Tok. To say he was on their radar is a gross understatement.

quote:

The Uvalde, Texas, gunman gave off so many warning signs that he was obsessed with violence and notoriety in the months leading up to the attack that teens who knew him began calling him “school shooter.”

He believed his TikTok & YouTube channels would be successful. The small number of views he received led him to tell those with whom he interacted that he was ‘famous’ and that they were mere randoms by comparison.

Turns out he was constantly on social media, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, & YouTube and he spent an inordinate amount of time playing the children’s video game Roblox.

Uvalde school shooter left trail of warning signs ahead of attack.

This is what I believe. Their world was completely demolished in a singular moment. I’ve only been a parent for less than 3 years, so new emotions occur to me whenever I discuss topics like this. The idea of losing a kid to anything at all, shooting aside, is an unacceptable idea. I have no idea what I would do if I were in their shoes.
