Now the popularity of Noir’s grave could also be explained by his nice wavy hair or his romantic death story (he died in a pistol-related dispute with Napoleon’s nephew) but all signs point to the reason being his inescapable protuberance. In truth, “Victor Noir” does sound like a 19th century porn name, so perhaps journalism was just a sideline. In any case people just can’t keep their hands off his bronze dong.
