From what I read, it essentially came down to overpriced van that wasn't needed, a repurposed Chrysler.

Anyways, we're car shopping for a commuter vehicle and I came across one for $10K with 100K miles on it, 2012. Can't find a blue book value on it and not turning up any reviews on if it's a reliable vehicle or not.

I thought the Routan was pretty much a rebadged Chrysler without stow-n-go seating. $10K seems a little high for that vehicle.

Yeah. I was intrigued by VW, but seeing it's pretty much a Chrysler minivan made me think it's not all that. We're fine with a high mileage vehicle, depending on the make, obviously.

Sure. That's not something you want in a car.

One of the few things Chrysler does well is the minivan.

VW, on the other hand, can only handle the GTI. We had a jetta for a few years, and it died a cheap death before 100k.

Yes, gross.

ETA: I forgot that you have thirty kids and no more hopes and dreams. Any minivan will fill that place where your dignity used to be.

Why not just use your food stamps and buy a Denali?

You can pick up a Lexus RX with a few more miles for similar money and the RX will go for another 200-300k without major surgery every 6 months. It is a blah vehicle but you ask about a Routan so blah isn't an issue.

There you go. If I was buying one (which I wouldn’t, they are turds) I’d offer 8500.
