Water snobs on tOT: why do people hate Dasani?

I usually drink Smart Water, but the hate for Dasani confuses me. It’s water. It tastes like water. But for some reason, I always hear people talk about how bad Dasani tastes. Am I missing something? Is my palate just not distinguished enough to know which water tastes more like water? Anyway, I’ll hang up and listen. TIA

I can't taste any difference in 99% of bottled water brands. Only time I've tasted anything odd from bottled water was the Winn Dixie store brand.

I'll drink it but you'd think it all would taste about the same. Somehow Fiji water just tastes better than the others to me for some reason. I can't explain it.

I don’t usually drink plastic bottled water. But I prefer Aquafina or Ozarka to Dasani. Although Dasani is fine. Nestle water is my least favorite.

It boggles my mind that so many people spend their hard earned money on bottled water. If you don't like tap water just buy a filter for your kitchen sink. Not to mention that single use plastics are actually one of the worst things for the environment that we do.

It has so much Potassium chloride in it that I can drink a bottle and still be as thirsty as when I started!
