What are good hobbies for mid-20s to mid-30s men to pick up?

Trying to get a list and consider some hobbies to take up to replace poker. Needs to engage the mind, likely allow for solo-meditation time while practicing, have a bit of competition to it, and hopefully may be able to translate into a positive economic outlet. i may pick up old man bball again, and we can substitute health output for the economic output
other things i've considered
knife sharpening
BJJ
chess
coding (i don't think this is likely but it's always there in the background)
foreign languages
developing my copy skills
developing my fiction skills
stand up comedy
i understand the OT is full of boys who have lost their way and live a sad life with a more dominant female (based on all the bitching threads i see on here), so i'm sure you're a rich resource for this topic

Tournament Bass fishing. Definitely a mental game, you can fish by yourself a lot, and if you get good you can win a lot of money.

After regretting the decision to not pursue programming when I started my IT career, I have decided to teach myself how to code. Plenty of free resources are available out there for it and many of the courses are broken down into 10-15 minute segments.

Hiking is good, not gonna make money but it’s healthy

Homebrewing, or home wine making if you'd prefer.
Checks all of those boxes, although economic outlet is a long shot.
If you have space for a shop, try building furniture or other woodwork.

I picked up alcoholism. Seems to be working great. Between that and cigarettes i'll be able to retire early.

The SO and I just got in to Legos
Working on a 2K+ Technic set right now. It is calming, challenging and really rewarding at the end.

That's kind of a variation on jigsaw puzzles, which I have done from time to time.

I bought 3 sets at Target the other day. One big one and 2 of the same, so we could race. The checkout lady said something about kids playing with them. I said "Oh, these are for me and my boyfriend." She said "Seriously?!" I looked at my box of wine, Legos, laughed and said "Yep."

I've been meticulously working on my golf game and hitting the gym/eating flawlessly lately.
I'm enjoying the grind of being as disciplined as I possibly can and learning about myself in the process.
