Anyone live in or outside of Charleston, SC? Pros and Cons?
Seems like a lot of fun things to do. Is Charleston another one of those cities being ruined by liberal yuppies?

Thanks

Sorry, we're full. Maybe try Myrtle Beach.

Unless you're a babe, in which case we're open and clothing-optional.

I don't see the appeal anymore unless you can live near the coast.

Sprawl is killing it.

I didnt get the "liberal yuppie" vibe visiting Charleston the couple times I did. Love the place. Probably "liberal" compared to your average SC county.

Don't know enough about local politics/goings on to really help you but if I were looking for somewhere else to move, Charleston would definitely be on my list to research.

They knocked down John C Calhoun from Marion Square. That was quite the event to watch.

Charleston is an amazing city. Honestly, it is exactly what New Orleans should be. Extremely safe, very clean, good food in music. Within the peninsula, you definitely have a property bubble being driven by West Coast and East Coast folks moving to the city. This is honestly the only downside.

From what I’ve seen on a documentary it is best to avoid getting knocked up by disgraced politicians. Also, Patricia is queen.

All I’ve got.

I miss southern charm even though the last 2 seasons were terrible

You forgot them bringing their coastal values with them.

Pros: very affluent, deep history, everyone there is attractive. Good food, king street is a classy version of bourbon street.

Cons: Liberal, expensive.

Great place to visit. Like a mini New Orleans with more of the pseudo-aristocratic preppy Uptown NOLA types, and less of the trashy folks. Good for a long weekend, but I’m guessing living there would get tiresome after a while.

I lived in West Ashley and loved it. The area is expensive, but so much great stuff to do. I thought the music scene left something to be desired, but that’s to be expected given that it’s a little out of the way. There were plenty of great shows, but less than I expected. Obviously the food scene is incredible, so that alone makes it a great place to live. A ridiculous number of people move there everyday, but so far it’s still a great place to be.

Pros- It's Charleston.

Cons- It is getting incredibly hard to get from Point A to Point B with the numbers of Tourons and halfbacks. Boats help, but dockage comes at a premium.

Southern Charm going Woke was one of most disappointing turn of events in reality TV history. Even Shep turned cuck.
