re: What does phi alpha mean to SAE fraternity members?

It all stems from the Greek. Alpha of course means beginning or from the beginning. Phi is a term that originally meant bestiality and more specifically goat fricking. So Phi Alpha means goat fricking from the beginning.

Could you please remove this?
We go through an entire semester of college to earn the right to know this meaning and you're cheapening it for everyone by posting it here.
Please. Thank you

Who cares? Frats are a waste of time.

How fun was dry humping the lions in front of your house? At my school, we used to watch the SAE's make their pledges do this and laugh our asses off.

Like I said it's just a long running joke with a friend. I thought maybe someone on the OT wouldn't mind letting the secret out.

there's a TD thread from 2014 where some dude says he knew the "secret handshake"...which he didn't. And wouldn't as a pledge.

Every good friend I have that was in a fraternity has shown me the handshake by now. The thing is, being in a fraternity certainly does have incredible benefits after college, mainly with networking and job connections. But once you're 10 years removed it doesn't really mean shite other than maybe a conversation starter at a cocktail party or something.
If your friends are still guarding those secrets 20 years later, they might be taking this a little too serious.

It's short for Phi Alpha Phi Omega.

Step #1, find an older member of Alpha Phi Alpha (preferably over 45, 65+ is better))
Step #2, ply them with liquor
Step #3, ask them what it means
Alpha was started by the SAE houseboys and according to some, they "borrowed" the SAE ritual book when forming Alpha Phi Alpha.

Idiot it means “Start the goat fricking”. Which is said at the appropriate time at SAE circle jerks.
How could you get so close and blow it?
