It's tough to do that sort of thing week after week, month after month, year after year and not get burned out, even if you do take hiatuses here and there. It can be quite time-consuming if you really throw yourself into it heavily. Some gifs, depending on the number of frames and intricacy, can take hours to make. A bunch of farkers contributing and a lot of board visitors helped make it worth it. But as farkers faded off without an influx of new ones to replace them and with fewer and fewer visitors coming to the board, it became less worth it for the few remaining to keep going. It's not fun to devote a fair amount of your time creating a fark only to get 2 upvotes and the OP/requester sometimes not even coming back to see it or acknowledge it.

The board was still jumping after LSUFreek left. There were several epic threads (7thWard, Al Sharpton, etc.) that took place afterward.

In short, there are some talented people that have put in some work on the fark board. He is one of them, and his stuff gets used on here quite a bit.

One of the best threads on that board was the 2010 LSU football daily countdown thread would post absolutely terrible farks daily during the summer. It spiraled out of control into Maximus making him fark tennis matches between Jarret Lee and Jordan Jefferson with Chavis refereeing with LSU pimp nation in the front row with Rueben Randle riding on the neverending story monster.

I used to post there regularly when I had a job that required me to sit through lots of calls that didn’t really require my input. Now I barely have enough time to complete everything I have to get done each day.
