I have researched on google an cannot find anything. Any appliance experts on here? What is the big difference between the two other than cost? Thanks for your help.

Had a whirlpool gold microwave die in about a year and a half, so there's that.

Whirlpool appliance will last you 10 years.
Whirlpool Gold will last 11.

Whirlpool Gold will last 11.

I think in terms of a dishwasher you paya little more to get quieter and better looking design.

Whirlpool is one of the few appliances I still trust. We own a Cabrio washer and dryer. Best washer and dryer we have ever owned. Bought them new in 08 and not a single problem. I think the golds just cost more.

Do you have to have your food chewed for you, Brutus?

better appearance, more electronics.
The rule of thumb for appliances is, the less control boards and electronic controls the better.
The analog timers last forever, and thermocouple based oven controls rarely go out.
Electronic control fail at an alarmingly high rate, especially in the higher end units.
So if longevity is what you want, look to Roper, Admiral, Hotpoint. Seriously.
Unless you go ultra high end, many modern appliances seem to fail at a higher rate.
Then, on some, they get you with insanely high priced parts. To where, even the refurb parts are expensive...

The difference is its time to pay more for a Bosch

What Napoleon said is correct. I sold appliances for several years. The good has the higher end appearance. They all have matching handles, and more electronics. Better fridge features, quieter (not by much) dishwashers (whirlpool golds range mostly in the 53db to 55 bosch's are 48-51. Every 3db doubles in sound) and the whirlpool gold ranges mostly have the 5th burner on gas and solid surface cooktop.

I thought whirlpool and kenmore were the same now. Came off the same line.

i bought a whirlpool gold dishwasher. it is stainless steel with the hidden control panel at the top of the door. I actually took the whirlpool nameplate, which was small, off the face since I like to have matching appliance brands. It looks great and performs well and is quiet enough for me. I open it all the time while it is running when I don't realize that my wife has already started it. Only regret is that the inside is plastic and not stainless so it doesn't completely dry the dishes, but for $350, it looks like an expensive dishwasher and cleans well.
